The Ruger American Pistol is a recoil-reducing powerhouse. With a recoil-reducing barrel cam, low-mass slide, low center of gravity and low bore axis, plus the functional slide serrations and textured grip, the shooter has more control. The American Pistol features a modular ergonomic wraparound grip, in small, medium, and large palmswells, and gives the shooter the ability to customize the grip. The pre-tensioned striker system features a powerful striker spring for positive ignition without a heavier trigger pull. It has an ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release making it great for both right and left handed shooters, Novak LoMount carry three-dot sights, and Picatinny rail under the barrel for accessories. Safety features include internal automatic sear block system, trigger safety and inspection port. It includes two 17 round nickel-Teflon plated steel magazines.
