On appearance, the concealment shelf looks great.
On craftsmanship, the shelf is made in China.
Now some things could be made in China and still be quality - not this item.
The placement of the mounting screws are so close the end of the shelf; therefore, you will need an extendable drill bit or screwdriver (poor design). NO center bolt (poor design). The shock opens half-way (poor design). The magnet has to be tapped in order to open (poor design). The screws are the poor quality that strip. The anchors provided are of poor quality as well. They stripped and left penny size holes in my wall... take a guess... poor design.
Overall dissatisfied with this product. It looks nice, so if you need a shelf to put a vase, this is great! If you need a 'functional' shelf to conceal your weapon - well this is NOT the way to go. I strongly REGRET making this purchase. I will have to modify it all around to make it operate the way it was intended (to include staying flused to the wall). Oh, did i mention when you open the shelf lowe than where the shock goes, it separates from the wall? Poor Design.
