The Beretta 92FS is well known for its unique open-top slide design which eliminates jamming or stove piping while allowing only one cartridge to be loaded at a time. It also features a chrome-lined barrel, which provides greater corrosion resistance than traditional materials, as well as a deeply recessed combat muzzle crown to protect the rifling. Additionally, the Beretta 92FS operates on an advanced short recoil delayed blowback system which allows for faster cycling times for improved accuracy and reliability. The rear sight of the Beretta 92FS is specifically designed with an extended projection, so that in an emergency situation the user can quickly retract the slide single-handedly by pressing it against the edge of a table or surface. Furthermore, this pistol has been thoroughly tested in military use and has been proven to perform under extreme conditions without fail.
